Fishing in Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco) is what we at Del Mar Charters call recreational fishing or bottom fishing. This means that most of the fishing will be at one of the many off shore reefs. These reefs are located between five to fifty miles from the shores of Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco) and are less than one hundred and fifty feet deep. Most of the boats in the fishing fleet are from 24 feet long to 56 feet long. Depending on the group size and distance from the Rocky Point shore requested, this will dictate which fishing boat to charter through Del Mar Charters. In most cases the further distance from shore the bigger the fish! Large Grouper and Black Sea Bass are typical at the fifty mile reef. Smaller Rock Bass,Sea Bass,Trigger and sometimes a Pinta Grouper are normal for twenty miles and under. Prices range from $45 to $85 per person depending on group size and which fishing boat is required. All pricing includes fishing license fees and all fishing tackle. Boats leave daily from Rocky Point between 6-8 AM.
